Update 04/03/2026
On the 1st of March, we will officially announce our departure from a very special and meaningful place where we planted the roots of this project, whose history we built together.
We always wanted this transition to be as smooth as possible, but unfortunately, closing operations at Aroeira before having operations at the new club were established was inevitable, and we can’t hide the fact that it will impact the daily lives of our team and the financial stability of the project.
Contingency plans are underway, and we continue to work hard to ensure that all members can continue their lessons. The first week of this process will always be the most challenging, and we count on your patience and understanding.
The three Matchpointeam locations – Almada Tennis Academy, Alto do Moinho, and Funchalinho – remain ready to welcome you. In addition, we are collaborating with Verdizela to provide an alternative (whenever possible) near the Herdade. In the absence of our usual reception at Herdade da Aroeira, you can visit our reception at the Almada Tennis Academy - ATA (Rua Varela Silva, 2815-678 Sobreda - opening hours 2 pm to 10 pm).
Monthly payments can be made in person at this location or continue to be made by bank transfer or MBWAY.
We recognize the impact this transitional phase represents, but we are, as always, committed to finding the best solutions for our community.
We appreciate your support and understanding and remain available to answer any questions you may have. We will continue to provide updates and work daily to maintain a quality operation for our community as we build the future.
Update 19/02/2026
In December 2025, we announced our departure from the current Aroeira Tennis & Padel facilities by the end of that year. After further meetings, negotiations, and Norfin’s contribution, we were authorized to extend the deadline through January and February.
Nevertheless, the time has come to close this chapter: as of day 28th of February, we will no longer be located at our current facilities.
Our commitment remains to seek the best solutions for our family. In this sense, we have contingency plans ready to guarantee viable and accessible alternatives for our athletes to continue playing.

Update 29/01/2026
In February, we’ll remain in the current Aroeira clube and we’ve managed to unsure that all class scheduling won’t be changed.
This new deadline extension is the result of continued meetings and a lot of effort from everyone involved to insure the best possible solution during this change process. Any change will be previously validated and communicated by our team.The construction of the new club is still ongoing, at the moment, we’re resolving technical matter so we can advance as quickly as possible.
We remain confident in the path that we’re on always with one goal in mind: looking for what’s best for our family.

Update 29/12/2025
After several meetings and with a lot of effort and dedication, we managed to secure our stay at our current club, Aroeira for another month, during the next month of January.
We would also like to inform you that all lesson will remain exactly the same as in previous months. Any eventual changes will always be previously validated and communicated by our team.
We’ll always try to guarantee the best possible solution for our family, while being aware that this will be a challenging phase. Regardless, we are confident in the future of the new club and the path we are building.

Update 05/12/2025
On Member’s Day, we introduced the project for the new Aroeira club and set the bases for a better future with better conditions for all.
Since then, we have been working arduously to make it a reality and in long negotiation to guarantee the best for everyone always knowing that, sometimes, you have to compromise to guarantee.
The construction has been underway, however, we have faced technical difficulties and adverse weather conditions that have prolonged the process.
We want this community, this family, to once again be right alongside us for this transition process into the new club. We’ll speak soon.

Update 31/08/2025
On Members' Day, we marked the beginning of the new season and presented the Aroeira 2.0 project. We invited all members to learn about our vision for the future through the floor plan and mockups of our project.
Two new tennis courts, three new padel courts, new changing rooms, a gym, space for wellness activities, events and gatherings. New, modern and high-quality facilities where they will want to spend their time, even if they don't have a racket in their hand.
This is everyone's project. It is realized together with what has always been, and will continue to be, our community.
One cycle ends and another begins. A club, at Herdade da Aroeira, that reflects who we are. The future begins today.
